UP Manila Fair – Palarong Pinoy

Get ready for an exhilarating day of fun, games, and camaraderie at the UP Manila Fair – Palarong Pinoy on October 24, 2023! This event is open to all members of the UP Manila community, including students, faculty, and staff. We’re excited to bring everyone together for a day of memorable experiences and friendly competition.

Date: October 24, 2023
Location: Sports and Wellness Center, UP Manila
🥇 Palarong Pinoy Mechanics 🥇
1. Lusot Hula-hoop (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
Mechanics: Participants will form a line, lock hands, and pass the hula-hoop from end to end without breaking the line.
Participants: 20 players from each team

2. Takbo Lukso (11:00 AM – 12:00 NN)
Mechanics: Relay race with exciting jumping obstacles including “luksong tinik,” “luksong baka,” and “luksong sako.”
Participants: 20 players from each team
Penalties: 10 seconds for violations in the obstacles

3. Takbo Isip (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
Mechanics: Relay with quiz obstacles on Science, Math, and General Information.
Participants: 20 players from each team
Penalties: 30 seconds for each wrong answer
Disqualification: Teams with less than 10 correct answers in any category

4. Takbo Balakid (2:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
Mechanics: Relay with creative obstacles including hopscotch, limbo rock, and walk around.
Participants: 20 players from each team
Penalties: 10 seconds for violations in the obstacles
